On August 12, the Rapid Stop fuel station and convenience store located on East 55th Street and Payne Avenue unveiled a newly installed biodiesel pump. Biodiesel, a fuel produced from vegetable oil made from U.S. crops, burns cleaner and reduces our reliance on foreign oil supplies. To celebrate the inauguration, diesel vehicles from NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland Metroparks, City of Cleveland, Great Lakes Brewing Company and HealthSpace, as well as a number of privately owned diesel vehicles, attended the event.
